The score didn't reflect the commitment and spirit from our lads today.

Possibly the best performance and team support for each other we've seen this season.

0-1 at half time was possibly a bit harsh, but we could lie with it considering Broughton are 2nd in the league.

0-2 flattered them, we were holding them up and causing problems for one of the top teams, including having some commendable attempts on goal.

Some suspect refereeing decisions were causing us some problems, non moreso than the 3rd goal Broughton scored.

A deflection on from the post saw the ball run behind Connor and along the goal line. Connor scooped it out but bowing to pressure from a spectator standing by the goals (a position he should not have been allowed to be in!) the ref awarded Broughton their 3rd goal.

So on whole a commendable performance from everyone. You should be pleased with the impovements you've made, and look forward to training on saturday, then Newton Aycliffe Youth on Sunday.

Cheers

Philip
