Grassroots Sport Resumes

Following the conclusion of the recent lockdown we have been given permission by the FA to resume training and matches in compliance with their updated guidelines.

Training restarted on Saturday 5th December and will run upto and including Saturday 19th December where we will then take a short break for the Christmas period. Please keep your coach updated with availability for training and matches so that they can confirm with opposition coaches where required. Coaches will keep you updated via their squad WhatsApp groups so please ensure they have you included so that you get the relevant updates.

MC Update

During the second lockdown period the clubs Management Committee have made a few changes in personnel. Steve Adams has stepped down from the role of Chair, Jason Thompson (U14's Coach) has stepped up from Vice Chair to be Club Chair and Andy King (U14's Coach) has joined the MC and become Vice Chair.

A huge thank you goes to Steve for his long service to date to the club as a Coach and Chair. Steve has been instrumental in the development of the club for many years, but in particular for the years since his own son had stopped playing for CVJFC and Steve remained, taking on the coaching of the U6 squad and recruiting new volunteers from that lower age group to assist with the future of the club.

Hopefully, once Covid is under control, Steve will return and resume giving up his free time to enable the kids to show him how much he enjoys coaching them. In the meantime, he has offered to assist the MC with anything that they require his help and knowledge with (especially IT stuff) and for that we are extremely grateful.

Update on Fees

As announced when we went into the second lockdown and grassroots sport was suspended, the clubs Management Committee decided to do the following for simplicity:

If you have already set up your DD payment for your child and made 1 or 2 payments already then please don't cancel it, please just reduce the number of monthly payments from 9 to 8 so you will finish paying for the season a month earlier.
If you have yet to set up your DD payment please hold off from doing so until 1st January and then set it to run until 1st August. This will greatly help the club to deal with the administrative side of this and if further restrictions are applied we will adjust terms accordingly.
